Preschool??!!

So, Mich is having fun at preschool, he has made friends and he likes his teachers.
But with school comes the baggage of viral illnesses and strange behavior.
Last week he didn't go to school for two days because he was down with a cold.
I have also noticed that he cries a lot more these days, even over really petty issues and I was wondering what was happening, I'm thinking it might be because he sees other children crying at school but many of them are younger than he is.
Then just this weekend he said something that I know he definitely heard from somewhere else, he said "I don't like grownups", now that was a shocker and we are trying to deal with it.
Even as he grows, learns and gets more independent, we continue to trim off the rough edges.

    Hey
    Look on the bright side, he'll get all those diseases that kids are supposed to get, which would be disastrous for them as adults like chicken pox.
    Just keep praying that he will have more influence over the kids he is interacting with, not vice versa

The Peeping Petticoat

Petticoats! Remember them? If you landed on this planet after the 90's you'll probably wonder what I refer to and no! it is not some fancy coat worn on top of a boob tube. Petticoats or half-slips are little nylon skirts worn as undergarments. Sound like the dark ages? Yeah, like who would wear extra clothes in the African heat? Probably explains why they were made of nylon and light cotton material. It was an essential item on every school girls shopping list next to Always and Vaseline. These skirts were everywhere; in suitcases, hanging up on a bathroom peg, sometimes they showed up on the clothes line outside; black and white - the two most preferred colors.
