Blessings abound and "Santa" came early

The Message puts it this way: - Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.
God continues to brim our cup over. On our journey so far, He has made the paths straight and our feet have fallen in good places.
Our land lord gave us a sofa, a bookshelf and a nice artifact. A friend was returning to her country; she literally gave us her beautiful furniture and then some. Now we are faced with another problem, there is no space for all the things – such a wonderful problem if you asked me.
Wow! That everything would fall in place in such a timely fashion. Not too early that we wouldn’t have a place to keep it and not too late that we wouldn’t need it. I’m amazed and humbled.

Christmas came 6 days early for Mich. With all the dreams and desires of a 7 year old, I didn’t have the ability to fulfill even half of them. Looks like “Santa” is working ahead of schedule this year. I found some incredible toys outside, all in good condition. Paul’s grandma decided to clean out her house and Mich is the happy beneficiary. I haven’t seen him since he got the toys. He is locked up in his room in a wonderful world of discovery. Only God would do that.

The Peeping Petticoat

Petticoats! Remember them? If you landed on this planet after the 90's you'll probably wonder what I refer to and no! it is not some fancy coat worn on top of a boob tube. Petticoats or half-slips are little nylon skirts worn as undergarments. Sound like the dark ages? Yeah, like who would wear extra clothes in the African heat? Probably explains why they were made of nylon and light cotton material. It was an essential item on every school girls shopping list next to Always and Vaseline. These skirts were everywhere; in suitcases, hanging up on a bathroom peg, sometimes they showed up on the clothes line outside; black and white - the two most preferred colors. You guys’, Heathrow airport is huge like this. It is oba the size of Soroti city ? You haven’t been to Soroti city? What’s your excuse? I will wait. If you have friends from Soroti and you’ve not visited their home… You know where I’m going with that, in fact, let me go there. My absence shouldn’t be an excuse for you not to visit my home, to check on my people. In fact, you my Ugandan friend should make the trip to Serere - check on my zeyi’s give me updates. Whoosh!!! I went deep there and no, I’m not joking. Okay back to the size of Heathrow airport. The surface area is like a combination of Soroti flying school, Soroti airport, Soroti sports field, Soroti rock, Soroti Nurses’ quarters…you know?!
